I.Our Story

how it all began.

It began in a coffee shop in a tiny town who's name we can't remember in Georgia. The traffic was unreasonable, the coffee was good, and neither of us was in a particular hurry to leave. We talked for hours about past, present, and future.

Years later, on a still lake in Norway after a steep hike, one of us asked and the other said yes before the question had quite finished.

Between the coffee shop and the lake came a thousand small things; late pizza dinners, early flights, a dog with opinions, apartments that became homes. We are gathering our people in the French countryside to celebrate this next chapter in company.

the
Château

Tucked away in the sun-drenched hills of the Lot, this stately 17th-century château feels like a place time forgot. Stone walls that have witnessed centuries of history now stand ready to welcome you, framed by rolling countryside and the quiet beauty of the French southwest. With the entire estate ours for the celebration, every garden path, golden-lit terrace, and hidden corner becomes part of the story.

IV.Questions

you might wonder.

What should we wear?

Chateau formal: men wear suits, women wear long or midi dresses, light linens or pastels welcome. Expect garden ground, we recommend shoes that will not argue with grass and the occassional rock. Bring a warm layer for the evening.

Are children invited?

Given the travel required we don't expect children to be able to attend. If you have a young child and plan on bringing them, please let us know so we can arrange food for them.

Is there parking on site?

Yes, at the front of the chateau. The country roads are very narrow at times, so please be careful. We recommend renting a car that's as small as possible but still has enough space for your luggage.

Can we stay on the grounds?

The château has rooms and cottages reserved for guests. They are allocated as we see fit on a first-come, first-served basis with international guests given priority. If any rooms become available we will offer them to a wider group.

Have you registered anywhere?

Your presence and energy is the gift. If you would still like to contribute, click on the "Registry" link in the top left of the website to access our registry.

What about photography?

We have asked guests to keep phones tucked away during the ceremony, there will be a professional photographer present. After that, please shoot to your heart's content, and feel free to share your photos with us. We would love to see them!
